The Seychelles

The Seychelles are an archipelagic state consisting of some 115 islands. Depending on their location they are classified as either the inland or outer islands. The so-called inland islands comprise the Granitic and the Northern Coral Islands which include Mahé, Praslin, La Digue, Frégate, Denis, Bird and several smaller islands. They are a hot-spot for any fisherman wishing to combine a holiday with the family with excellent angling opportunities.

The outer islands comprise the southern coral islands of the Amirantes, Alphonse and Farquhar Groups and the Aldabra Atoll.

Being located close to the equator the Seychelles offer a warm, tropical climate the whole year round. The weather is governed by two opposing trade winds. Due to these wind conditions the high season for fishermen is between September and May.
